This old rocker had been used to rock many babies over the years. In fact, I would say it was over 100 years old. I removed all of the springs as one of them broke and I knew it was a matter of time before the others did the same. I then 8-way tied each spring before covering with canvas and additional padding. The customer was giving this to her mother as a Christmas gift.
I received my upholstery training from my father as a teenager and have recently resurrected our family's business. After spending 24 years at L.L. Bean, 13 of them in the furniture quality and sourcing area, I felt it was time to get back to my roots.
